Our story began in 2000. Derek and I attended the same middle and high school growing up, but met only briefly at the end of Derek's senior year. We were reconnected later that year through a mutual friend and began dating during my senior year in high school. Derek was beginning his freshman year at UTC. After graduating high school I moved to Rome, GA to attend Berry College. We continued to date all through college in a long distance relationship. Derek graduated from UTC in 2004 and began working at Decosimo CPA. I graduated in 2005 with a degree in early childhood education. On June 4, 2005 we got married. We bought a house in Chattanooga, got a dog, and I began teaching kindergarten and first grade in Walker County, GA. We loved our life as a young married couple, but our family was not yet complete. We decided to find a bigger house for our future family.
We bought a house in Hixson, Tennessee during spring 2009. Our son, Benjamin Bryan was born on April 6, 2010. He was 8 lbs 9 oz and 22 inches of healthy baby. Derek and I thought we had our life all planned out, and so far it had gone according to our plan. We soon found out God had a different plan for our life.
Derek was asked to move to Huntsville, AL to open a new office for his firm. Hesitant at first, we quickly accepted this change of plans and moved to Huntsville during December 2010. It was difficult to move away from our family and friends, but we have been truly blessed in Huntsville. Once we were settled in Huntsville, we decided it was time to have another baby. We would soon find out the God's plan for our family was bigger and better than we ever planned...triplet boys would also be joining our family. This blog is a glimpse into what our life is like as we raise our four sons. Enjoy!
