To Infinity and Beyond....

Halloween was a lot of fun this year!  We all dressed up as Toy Story characters.  Ben loves Toy Story and Buzz Lightyear was the perfect costume for him.  I was able to find his costume at a local consignment sale for a great price.  The triplets were the three little aliens from the Claw game at Pizza Planet.  I bought their hats on Etsy from 2legit2knitcrochet.  She did a great job!  Their costumes were fleece rompers from Carter's.  I simply hand stitched planets made from felt over the monkey on the front so I can remove it an they can use them later this winter.  Derek and I were Woody and Jessie from "the round up gang".  I find that very fitting because we are constantly rounding up our children.

It's hard to believe this time last year we made our first official family outing for Halloween.  We have come along way since then.  This year we went to Publix with friends to trick or treat again.  It was raining and so the indoor option was great, but it's also a great option for small children no matter what the weather is outside.

I can't wait to see what kind of family theme we will have next year....

Atlanta Getaway!

Derek and I decided to take Ben on a special weekend trip to Atlanta.  He loves the Braves because he watches it with his Daddy and his Papa Daniel, so we had to take him to a game.  He also loves animals so we planned to go to the zoo!

On Friday we drove from Huntsville to Atlanta and made a little detour to drive around Berry College's campus since we pasted through Rome.  I loved seeing the campus again.  It brought back many wonderful memories and it was fun to show Ben where I went to college.

When we got in Atlanta, we went by our hotel first and unloaded our things. We took the Marta train to the stadium.  Ben loved riding the train, especially because it went fast.

That evening, we went to the Braves game.  It was an exciting game to watch and the Braves won! Ben loved cheering and participating in the tomahawk chop!

On Saturday, we meet some of our good friends from Huntsville at the zoo.  We had a great time!  The kids loved seeing all the animals, riding the train, and spending time together.

Ben loved the petting zoo
and yes he insisted on wearing his new Braves jersey to the zoo.

We had a wonderful trip.  Ben loved getting the special attention from Daddy, Mommy, and "his best friend Papa".  A special thanks to G-mama and Nannie for watching the little boys for us so we could take this trip.  This was only the second time I was away from the triplets overnight. It was a nice break for mommy, too.

The Daniel Brother's Circus

I love birthday parties and the triplets' birthday party was a big deal in our book!  We had all survived the first year healthy and happy and it was time to celebrate!  Since our life at times feels like a three ring circus we thought it would be a fitting theme for the party.

I had a great time making these invitations using a psd file I bought on Etsy.  Triplet birthday party invitations are hard to come by and so I decided to design my own.  I bought this design from SugarfliesDesigns on Etsy.  It was so much fun to make. The ties were also purchased on Etsy from Whatafancypansy.

These three adorable smash cakes were made by Katie at Dixieland Sweets.

Ben did his big brother duty and helped eat their cake!
This is about the only time he got out of the swimming pool the entire party.

Our food went right along with our circus theme.  We had corndogs, a nacho bar with all the fixings, lemonade, animal crackers, popcorn, and circus peanuts.  The kids took home boxes of Barnum and Bailey's animal crackers and cotton candy for party favors.
We set up a photo booth to capture silly pictures of all our party guests, even the great grandparents joined in on the fun!  Here are a few of them....
Love this picture of the boys with Daddy, Papa, and Papaw

First Birthday

I cannot believe it is time for the triplets first birthday.  Wow!  This year went by fast.  It is hard to describe what this past year has been like for our family.  It was fun, exciting, hard, tiring and stressful at times.  We enjoyed it all and are so thankful for all the many blessings our family has been given this year.  We are so blessed to have strong, healthy, happy triplets!  What a miracle and a blessing from God they have been to our lives.  We cannot imagine not having each one of them in our family.  Happy Birthday Babies!
